Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 April 2026 · Site: music-hub.gordo.design
These Terms explain what you may and may not do with Music Hub (this website, the Mac desktop application, and the iPhone companion app). They are a practical agreement for customers and visitors. They are not a substitute for legal advice; have them reviewed for your jurisdictions and sales channels if you need certainty.
1. Who we are
“Music Hub” and “Weave Music Hub” refer to the proprietary software and related services offered by Gordo Labs (“we”, “us”, “our”). The website and apps are intended for users who manage their own local music libraries and want a streaming layer on top of those files.
2. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, opening, or continuing to use the Software, visiting this website, or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Music Hub or the site. Some flows (for example checkout) may present additional wording from payment providers; those are between you and the provider for payment processing.
3. What the Software is
Music Hub includes a Mac desktop application that indexes and serves music you already store on your computer, and an iPhone companion for streaming and control against that hub. Features may include local-network playback, optional remote access routes you configure (for example VPN or tunneling products), and optional sharing surfaces you explicitly enable.
You remain responsible for your audio files, metadata, and compliance with copyright and licensing law for the content you play. We do not host your full library as a commercial streaming catalog.
4. License grant
Subject to these Terms and, for paid tiers, successful payment and activation, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the Software on supported devices, in binary form, for your own use. You may not rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the Software or license keys except where mandatory law allows.
Remote streaming (access away from your home or usual LAN) requires a valid paid remote entitlement on the hub, as described on our Licenses and Support pages. Unless we say otherwise, one paid remote license is bound to one desktop hub at a time.
5. Offer types (summary)
- Local free use: use of the hub and companion for local / same-network flows as offered in the product, without a paid remote entitlement.
- Beta Access Pass: temporary paid access to remote beta features until 30 September 2026 or version 1.0, as published on the site. It is not the final commercial license unless we state otherwise in writing.
- Remote Lifetime Founding: one-time purchase for the paid remote tier under the “lifetime” founding offer. Plain-language scope: Here, "lifetime" means a one-time license for the paid remote tier for the commercial life of this Music Hub product as we offer it. It is not a statutory "forever" obligation, a guarantee of perpetual updates, or guaranteed technical support. The software is provided as-is. If we stop publishing builds or offering support, your purchase is the license and builds you already received; it is not a contract for indefinite future services or dependencies beyond the license checks the app already performs.
6. What you must not do
You agree not to, and not to assist others to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, or attempt to derive source code from the binary, except to the limited extent mandatory applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
- Circumvent license or activation: bypass, disable, tamper with, or interfere with license validation, device binding, cryptography, or other technical measures; share license keys or recovery links with unrelated parties; use a single entitlement to run multiple paid hubs beyond what we allow; or impersonate another licensee.
- Attack or abuse our systems, other users, or third-party infrastructure used in connection with Music Hub (including excessive automated requests, credential stuffing, or attempts to extract data you are not authorized to access).
- Misuse the Software to infringe intellectual property, distribute malware, or break the law.
- Remove or alter proprietary notices, branding, or legal strings embedded in the Software or documentation.
If you violate this section (or we reasonably suspect fraud), we may suspend or revoke entitlements, block validation, and refuse further sales, in addition to other remedies available to us.
7. Updates and changes to the Software
We may ship updates, patches, or replacements. Unless required by law or by a specific written promise we make at purchase, we have no obligation to maintain any particular feature forever or to support every older OS version.
8. Intellectual property
Music Hub, its name, logos, UI, and underlying code (except third-party components with their own notices) are owned by Gordo Labs or its licensors. Except for the limited license in Section 4, no rights are granted to you. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.
9. Third-party services
Payments may be processed by Stripe; beta signups may use Google Forms; remote access may rely on networks or tools you choose (for example VPN providers). Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. Our Privacy Policy describes how we approach data on the website and in the apps at a high level.
10. Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software and site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or that defects will be corrected.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Gordo Labs or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to these Terms or the Software, even if advised of the possibility.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Software will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us for Music Hub in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) fifty euros (EUR 50), except where mandatory law prohibits such a cap (for example certain consumer rights).
12. Termination
You may stop using the Software at any time. We may suspend or terminate your rights if you materially breach these Terms, if we must comply with law, or if a paid offer expires or is revoked according to its published rules (for example temporary beta access). Provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, and 14) survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Gordo Labs has its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live. Courts in that country have jurisdiction, subject to those mandatory rules.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page and changing the “Last updated” date. For material changes that affect paid customers, we will use reasonable efforts to provide notice (for example by email or in-app), but you should review this page periodically.
