Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 April 2026 · Site: music-hub.gordo.design
Overview
Weave Music Hub (“Music Hub”, “we”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the Music Hub website, Mac desktop app, and iPhone companion handle your data.
Key principle: your music library is not uploaded to our own hosted catalog. Music Hub is designed around your own library, your own devices, and only the minimum third-party services needed for payments, beta requests, support, optional remote routes, and (on the public website only) basic usage measurement as described below.
Data collection
What we do not collect
- Your full music library on our own hosted servers
- Advertising identifiers or ad-network profiles
- General-purpose third-party analytics inside the Mac or iPhone apps
- Location tracking
What stays on your devices
- Music library metadata: artist names, album titles, track information stored locally on your desktop
- Connection settings: local and remote route configuration for desktop–mobile connection
- Playback state: current track, position, queue, and basic app state stored locally on your devices
- Optional diagnostics: diagnostic logs stored in-app on mobile, and optionally synced back to your own desktop hub
Website analytics (public site only)
On this website we load Google Tag Manager (container GTM-TN25CV3T) and Google Analytics 4 (G-WRBQYY10LC). They may receive technical data such as page URL, device and browser characteristics, and coarse engagement signals. We use custom events (for example mh_landing_flow) to understand navigation and CTAs. This does not include your music files or library contents. You can use browser controls, opt-out tools offered by Google, or extensions that block analytics scripts.
Google's policies: policies.google.com/privacy.
What third parties may process
- Stripe: payment and checkout information when you buy access
- Google Forms: any information you submit when requesting the iPhone beta
- Email: any information you send when contacting support
- Optional remote providers: traffic metadata needed to route remote access if you enable services such as Cloudflare or Tailscale
How the app works
Desktop application
- Scans your local music folder(s)
- Indexes music metadata (artist, album, track info) locally
- Hosts a local HTTP server on your network
- Can optionally connect to remote access providers if you explicitly enable remote access features
Mobile application
- Discovers the desktop app via local network (Bonjour/mDNS)
- Connects via QR code or manual IP entry
- Streams music directly from your desktop over local or configured remote routes
- Stores minimal playback state locally
Network communication
Music Hub supports both local-network communication and optional remote routes:
- On local routes, music streams directly from your desktop to your mobile device
- On optional remote routes, traffic may pass through network providers selected or enabled by you
- Public share pages expose only the scoped items you decide to share
- Internet access may be required for checkout, beta requests, remote routes, software distribution, and (on the website) analytics scripts
Third-party services
- Stripe for payments and checkout
- Google Forms for beta request intake
- Email providers for support communication
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 on the public website
- Optional remote infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare or Tailscale when you choose to use those features
Data security
- Your library database and playback state primarily remain under your control on your own devices
- Remote traffic security depends on the route you enable and the providers involved
- Public share pages are intentionally scoped to selected entities rather than opening your full library
- You control your data by controlling your devices, your remote settings, and your shares
Your rights
You retain control over your music library and local app data. Depending on the third-party service involved, you may also have rights with providers such as Stripe or Google:
- Delete the app to remove all local data
- Delete music folders to remove indexed metadata
- Disconnect the mobile app to stop streaming
- Disable remote access providers and revoke public share links when you no longer want them active
Children's privacy
Music Hub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through checkout, support, or beta-request flows, contact us and we will address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
